1. Information we collect

Permissions you can grant

Te Lo Tengo requests the following device permissions. All of them are optional; you can use the app with reduced functionality if you choose not to grant them.

• Location (approximate and precise): Used only when you tap "Near Me" to show you nearby businesses. Location is processed on your device to order results and is not stored on our servers. If you choose to open an external maps application, that application applies its own privacy practices.
• Camera: Used exclusively by business owners to photograph their locations and products during registration. Users who only browse the directory never trigger the camera.
• Internet and network status: Needed to sync the business directory and to detect connectivity, so the app can switch to offline mode automatically.

Information collected automatically

• Crash reports: If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics collects the error log, the device model, the OS version, and the app version. No personally identifying information is included.
• Usage analytics: Firebase Analytics collects pseudonymized events, such as screens visited, categories selected, search terms, and how many times the "Contact business" button is tapped. It also processes an installation identifier and an approximate location derived from the IP address. We don't send names, emails, phone numbers, precise coordinates, or review comments as analytics parameters.
• Remote configuration: Firebase Remote Config downloads feature flags to control which features are active in your version of the app. To provide this service, it processes technical information such as country, language, time zone, OS version, and app identifiers.

Optional account data

If you create an account, we store the email and basic profile data you provide, along with the information needed to sign in. We also associate your lists, saved businesses, notifications, and any businesses you manage with your account. Supabase processes and stores this data to provide account features.

2. How we use information

• To provide the service: We sync the business directory from our server and show it to you, even when you don't have an internet connection.
• To offer account features: If you register, we use your data to sign you in, save your preferences, and manage the features associated with your profile.
• To improve the app: Aggregated, anonymized analytics help us understand which categories and features are most useful.
• To fix bugs: Crash reports let us identify and resolve technical issues quickly.
• To show you nearby businesses: Location data (when you authorize it) is used in real time solely to calculate proximity and is never stored persistently.

3. Third-party services

Te Lo Tengo uses the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:

Google Firebase

Provided by Google LLC. We use Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and Remote Config. Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where Google operates. Firebase Analytics uses installation identifiers and, when available, the advertising identifier in pseudonymized form. You can reset or delete the advertising identifier from your device's privacy settings.

This is the platform where we store the public business directory and, when you create an account, the data needed to authenticate you and provide the features associated with your profile.

Google Maps

When you tap "Directions" on a business, we redirect you to the Google Maps app. From that point on, Google's privacy policy applies.

4. Storage and security

Business listings are stored locally on your device using a Room (SQLite) database so you can access the directory offline. This data is sandboxed within the app and is not accessible to other applications on your device.

Business photos are temporarily stored in the device cache. Cache entries are automatically removed when the underlying data is updated.

We apply reasonable technical measures to protect the information we handle. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

5. Data retention

• Local cache: Kept until you uninstall the app or until the data expires according to our sync policy.
• Crash reports: Firebase Crashlytics retains these for 90 days by default.
• Analytics events: Firebase Analytics retains these for up to 14 months.
• Account data: Retained while your account remains active. You can delete it from the app or through our account-deletion page.

Uninstalling the app removes all data stored locally on your device.

6. Children's privacy

Te Lo Tengo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will remove it immediately.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction, or deletion of your account and associated data.
• Reset or delete the advertising identifier from your device's privacy settings.
• Revoke location or camera permissions at any time from Settings → Apps → Te Lo Tengo → Permissions.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We recommend reviewing it periodically. Continued use of the app after any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
